Leaked Photo Shows What Could be a Mini 3 SE or Mini 3 Classic
— 航拍世家 打手 (@DealsDrone) November 9, 2022
Drone industry insider @DealsDrone recently shared a photo of what could be a forthcoming version of the Mini 3 Pro, either an SE or a Classic. Either of these monikers would indicate the new drone is a toned down, less expensive version of the Mini 3—DJI has used both “Classic” and “SE” to indicate this tiering in launches over the last year or so, with the most recent being the launch of the DJI Mavic 3 Classic. In the photo we can see what look like four obstacle avoidance sensors on each drone, and the drones certainly look like DJI Minis. It’s hard to speculate much further based solely on this photo, but if DJI is actually working on a Mini 3 SE we’re sure to see more leaks come out before too long.

Spooky FPV Fly Through at a Haunted Mansion
Halloween may be over, but there will always be a place in our hearts for a fun, cinewhoop-style fly through of a haunted house like this one. This video was shot in San Jose, CA by drone pilot Roger Apolinar. Roger is not only a gift drone pilot, he also happens to be an instructor for UAV Coach’s hands-on drone flight training.
DJI Releases Altitude Guide to Support Search and Rescue Missions
Although we hear about drones being used to find missing people all the time, using a drone for this type of operation is actually fairly complicated. One of the most important variables to consider when using a drone for search and rescue is altitude—if you fly too high, you may not be able to see the person you’re trying to find. To help those working in search and rescue, DJI has released a guide in partnership with public safety company SkyBound Rescuer that allows you to fill out a short survey then get key information to guide your drone rescue work. Follow the link below to see the guide on DJI’s site.
