Mavic 4 Pro Launch Delayed Amid Onslaught of New Leaks

A few weeks back we reported that leakers said the Mavic 4 Pro would come out on April 24.

Now, it looks like the launch might be delayed.

That news has come amid a new onslaught of leaks, making it clear that even if the launch is being pushed back, the Mavic 4 Pro is definitely coming soon.

What’s Causing the Delay?

The first thing to say is that we don’t know if there’s a delay at all.

Given that the April 24 launch date came from leaks—not from DJI—that date could just be wrong.

But if that date was right and it’s being pushed back, here are some of the potential reasons:

• Logistical challenges. According to leaker Mauro Tandoi, a newcomer, the overlap with post-Easter travel in the U.S. and holidays in parts of Europe may have complicated shipping schedules and customs processes.
• Customs or internal approvals . Reliable leaker Igor Bagdonov has hinted at “screening” delays. While vague, this could refer to customs clearance or internal quality checks that are taking longer than expected.
• The trade war. Remember that? President Trump may have rolled back tariffs on most countries, but he’s doubling down on Chinese tariffs. These issues have affected tech companies globally and could be adding pressure to DJI’s operations.

What Do We Know about the Mavic 4 Pro?

Here’s everything we know so far based on leaked information:*

• New design. Revamped aerodynamic propeller design with quick-release discs for improved airflow and dust/rain prevention.
• Camera system. Triple cameras with focal lengths of 28mm, 70mm, and 168mm.
• Recording capability. Maximum recording resolution of 6K with a larger sensor than the Mavic 3.
• Gimbal design. Redesigned gimbal with 360° multidirectional movement.
• ND filter system. Electronic ND filter system, reportedly removable rather than integrated into the camera payload.
• Flight time. Advertised flight time of up to 52 minutes.
• Controller. Comes with the new DJI RC Pro 2 featuring a tilting 7″ touchscreen.
• Data storage. Creator Combo rumored to include 512GB internal storage, with speculation about a Cine edition offering up to 2TB.

Here’s everything we know about the RC Pro 2:

• Display. Features a 7″ extendable touchscreen, reminiscent of older Phantom controllers but with modern upgrades for better portability and display quality.
• Video transmission. Supports DJI’s OcuSync 4.0 video transmission system (though the text mentions O4, it likely refers to OcuSync 4.0).
• Processor. Equipped with a new processor for smoother operation.
• Customizable buttons. Includes customizable buttons for enhanced control.
• Connectivity. Offers Wi-Fi 6 support for improved connectivity.
• External output. Includes a mini-HDMI port for connecting to external monitors.
• Design. Features a foldable design for easier storage and transport, with improved portability compared to older models.
