Insta360 Launches New 360 Camera, Announces 90% Sales Jump Following Antigravity Launch
BY Zacc Dukowitz
5 November 2025Insta360 is on a streak—and drones are a big part of the story.
A few months back, the company launched its drone brand Antigravity and the Antigravity A1—the first ever off-the-shelf 360 drone—Insta360 made a big, bold step into the drone market.
The A1 was one of the biggest, most unexpected releases we’ve seen in the drone industry for a long time, bringing fresh blood back to a consumer market over which DJI has held a stranglehold for a long time.
Now it’s looking like that bet paid off. Insta360 recently announced that its Q3 sales jumped by about 90%. And, adding to the buzz, the company just put out a new super-lightweight 8K 360 drone camera called the X4 Air, adding to the buzz.
Insta360’s 90% Jump in Sales
Insta360 just posted an impressive quarter: revenue jumped up about 93% compared to last year.
One of the drivers? Long story short, drones seem to be a key part of the growth.
Insta360 is no longer “just a camera company. While the company has made 360 cameras for drones for a long time, the fact that it’s now entered the production side of the drone industry with Antigravity has given it a lot of attention—and a lot of new sales.

The Antigravity A1
Antigravity’s A1 has generated so much attention that it was named one of the Best Inventions of 2025 by TIME Magazine before you could even buy it. (The A1 is supposed to start shipping in January of 2026.)
Why should drone pilots care about Insta360 having a big jump in sales?
Because Insta360 may be one of the companies that steps into the vacuum left by DJI’s lack of inventory.
Although DJI drones are currently back in stock, they’ve been out of stock for a long time now. And it’s promising to hear about a company that is growing its consumer drone presence, and may present at least one viable alternative for creators.
The X4 Air—A Lightweight 360 Camera Made for Drones, Selfie Sticks & More
The X4 Air is the first 8K 360 camera that actually makes sense on small drones.
At just .36 pounds (165 grams), it’s light enough to mount without having a big impact on flight time. And it still records 8K 360 and slots into Insta360’s mounting ecosystem—so you can move it from a cinewhoop to a handheld rig without retooling your kit.
