21 August 2025This week we’re covering drone footage of a massive great white shark captured by a clam fisherman in Maine.
We’re also covering Amazon’s dwindling supply of DJI drones, how shooting and editing video on the Antigravity A1 is different from shooting with a regular drone, a dramatic waterfall rescue aided by a drone, and GoPro paying drone pilots for their footage.

Drone Spots Massive Great White Off Maine Coast
A drone operated by local clam fisherman David Lancaster captured this incredible footage of a 10–12 feet great white shark gliding just beneath the waves off Richmond Island, close to some of Maine’s busiest beaches. Amazon Only Has Two DJI Models Left, the Neo and the Flip

The DJI Flip

How Is Shooting with Antigravity’s 360 Drone Different?

Watch this video on YouTube
Antigravity’s A1 drone revolutionizes aerial storytelling by letting pilots look freely in any direction during flight via immersive FPV goggles—without changing the drone’s flight path. But the real magic of shooting aerial 360 footage happens in post-production. From just one flight, you can extract multiple distinct shots by reframing the 360 footage: tracking different subjects, zooming in on details, or choosing unique angles. This means a single clip can become multiple cinematic videos, giving editors strong creative control and the flexibility to perfect every shot after the fact.

After Wardwell fell off his rappelling lines due to the waterfall’s powerful flow, rescue teams struggled to pinpoint his location due to the rough terrain and darkness. The Tulare County Sheriff’s dive and rescue team deployed a drone early Tuesday that successfully spotted him alive and responsive behind the falls, and a California Highway Patrol helicopter then hoisted him to safety.
