Antigravity Launches the A1, the World’s First Integrated 360 Drone
BY Zacc Dukowitz
4 December 2025Antigravity, Insta360’s new drone brand, has officially released the A1 360 drone in the U.S.
The launch wasn’t supposed to happen until early next year. But Antigravity accelerated the U.S. release to get the A1 on shelves before DJI launches its first 360 drone, the Avata 360, which was recently added to the FCC database.
Antigravity’s A1 is the world’s first off-the-shelf 360-degree drone camera system, letting creators capture fully spherical footage without stitching rigs or heavy custom builds.
It ships today through Antigravity’s website, with the starter bundle priced at $1,599.
What Is 360 Aerial Video?
360 aerial video lets you:
- Capture everything around the drone in a single flight instead of aiming just one forward-facing camera.
- Reframe the footage after the fact—panning, tilting, and tracking subjects in post like a virtual camera operator.
- Turn one flight into multiple edits and angles for YouTube, Instagram, and other platforms.
A Purpose-Built 360 Drone Made for Creators
The Antigravity A1 isn’t just a flying camera with a 360 lens strapped on—it’s the first drone designed from the ground up around spherical aerial capture.
Insta360 has spent years refining 360 cameras. The A1 carries that lineage into the air with a flight platform tuned specifically for stable, obstacle-aware, high-resolution 360 video.

At the center of the A1 is a built-in, dual-lens 360 camera capable of 8K capture, surrounded by a protective airframe that keeps props out of view.
Because 360 video records in every direction, Antigravity engineered the drone so the flight system remains invisible in the stitched sphere, which is something third-party or DIY rigs usually struggle with.
According to Antigravity, the drone’s internal algorithms automatically smooth motion and compensate for directional shifts so footage stays level and fluid, even in wind.
Specs and Features for the Antigravity A1
The A1 is built as an all-in-one 360 capture platform—lightweight, stable, and designed to produce spherical footage without the usual DIY complexity. Here are its standout specs:
- 8K 360° camera. Dual-lens, fully spherical capture with the ability to reframe shots after flight.
- Flight time. Up to 39 minutes per battery.
- Weight. 249 grams (.54 pounds), keeping it just under the FAA’s 250-gram registration threshold.
- Transmission range. Up to 6.2 miles (10 km) using Antigravity’s Omnilink 360 system.
- Obstacle sensing. Forward obstacle detection for safer flights—rare for a 360-rig drone.
- Simplified flight modes. Auto-hover, easy lift-off/landing, and creator-focused presets to reduce the piloting learning curve.
- Stabilization and reframing tools. Antigravity algorithms smooth motion and keep the horizon level, even in wind.
360 Video Without the Complexity
Most 360 aerial footage today comes from hacked-together setups—action cameras strapped to consumer drones, custom FPV rigs, or heavy, awkward mounts that require stitching work after the fact.
The A1 is the opposite of that.
Antigravity built the drone so creators can get cinematic 360 shots on day one, even if they’ve never flown a drone before.

Here are some of the standout features that make it easy to shoot 360 video with the A1:
- Prop-free stitching. A vertical body keeps propellers fully out of frame, so your 360 sphere comes together cleanly without patching or masking in post.
- All-in-one 360 camera system. No aftermarket rigs, mounts, or balancing tricks. The A1 is the first ready-to-fly drone designed specifically around dual-lens spherical capture.
- Beginner-friendly flight controls. The A1 flies much closer to a selfie drone than a manual FPV rig—auto-hover, stable GPS locking, and simplified takeoff/landing minimize the learning curve.
- Designed for creators, not pilots. Antigravity’s stabilization and reframing algorithms smooth out shake and keep the horizon level automatically, so you can focus on the story instead of flight technique.
- Obstacle awareness for safer flights. Forward obstacle sensing helps new pilots avoid crashes—something extremely rare on 360 rigs, which typically lack any vision sensors.
Combined, these features make the A1 a true “pick it up and fly” 360 drone.
You don’t need to tweak PID profiles, adjust camera offsets, or worry about props ruining your shot—the drone handles the technical side so you can focus on capturing immersive footage.
Who Is the A1 For?
The A1 is basically a souped-up 360 selfie drone—it flies with selfie-drone simplicity but captures pro-grade, reframable 8K 360° footage. Because the A1 hides its props, automates leveling, and smooths the camera feed in real time, creators can focus on ideas, and not flight technique.
All of this means the A1 is built for anyone who wants cinematic, reframable 360° aerial footage without needing to master complex flight skills.

Here’s who will get the most out of the A1:
- Action sports creators. Skiers, cyclists, climbers, skaters—anyone who wants immersive “third-person” camera angles that follow the action automatically.
- Travel and outdoor filmmakers. The lightweight frame and beginner-friendly controls make it ideal for capturing sweeping landscapes and dynamic trip footage.
- FPV pilots and content creators. Get stabilized 360 shots you can reframe in post, turning a single flight into multiple camera angles.
- Social media storytellers. Vertical reframing, horizon leveling, and prop-free stitching mean you can publish polished content straight from the app.
- Production teams and agencies. 360 aerial capture opens up creative possibilities for ads, documentaries, and virtual experiences.
As 360 drones become more accessible, the kinds of shots people produce will only get more inventive. And the A1 could well spark entirely new styles of aerial filmmaking.
We can’t wait to see new drone videos start rolling in, showcasing all the ways people are using this new drone.
